JOB DETAILS:
The Banana Industrial Research and Development Centre (BIRDC) exists to provide a state-of-the-Art banana processing enterprise in Uganda. BIRDC is the successor entity of the Presidential Initiative On Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) Project
Banana Industrial Research Development Centre (BIRDC) is seeking for highly motivated and result-driven individuals.

Job skills and specifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or other related field, such as Business Administration, Economics. Law or Finance is typically required for this position.
• Relevant work experience in a related field may also be beneficial.

Responsibilities
• The Risk Officer supports the Risk Manager in analyzing the risks associated with various operations and practices within the BIRDC
• Supporting the development and implementation of risk management strategies
• Collecting and maintaining data and information related to risks, hazards, and insurance claims
• Helps with the identification of potential hazards or risks and proposes preventative measures.
• Supports the Risk Manager in helping departments to identify potential hazards or risks and propose preventative measures. Assists the Risk Manager to collaborate with other departments to provide advice and guidance on risk-related issues.
• Assists in the Coordination with external vendors and service providers to ensure appropriate insurance coverage for the organization.
• Assisting in developing training programs for employees to increase their understanding of risk management processes. Assisting in Monitoring compliance with established risk management policies and procedures.
• Assisting in the Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records related to risk management activities
