Job Overview
On behalf of our client, we seek to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver with exceptional route planning and route sales abilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in driving commercial trucks, along with a proven track record in efficiently planning and executing delivery routes. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while maximizing sales opportunities along the designated routes. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough route planning and optimization to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a commercial truck, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Deliver products to designated locations promptly and accurately, verifying quantities and obtaining necessary signatures or documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional and courteous relationships with clients and promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Actively identify sales opportunities during deliveries and proactively promote products to customers, achieving sales targets.
• Collaborate with the sales team to effectively communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activity
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales, and expenses, utilizing company-provided software or documentation systems.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate parties.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of goods, and promptly reporting any accidents, incidents, or violations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, road conditions, and best practices related to route planning and sales.

Requirements
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver, with a focus on route planning and route sales.
• Excellent knowledge of local and regional roadways, traffic patterns, and route optimization techniques.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in using technology for route planning, sales tracking, and record-keeping.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads as required.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or sales is a plus.
