Job Summary
To champion the security of company assets and coordinate health and safety activities across the business, including contractors and suppliers in line with, International Finance Corporation (IFC) performance standards, ISO ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001 management systems, Axian Telecom procedures, and company procedures

Job Responsibilities
• Ensure that all processes are in place to reduce any form of security threat which may cause harm to the overall operations of the company
• Planning, designing, and implementing an overall security strategy and risk management plan for the company by developing operating models and standards.
• Develop a Country Security Plan
• Initiate Investigations into corruptive and fraud issues and security incidents related to the company’s operations including visiting the scene of crime to establish facts.
• Ensure security intelligence information is collated, analyzed, and applied towards ensuring the best protection level for personnel and operations in the area of responsibility.
• Ensure that threat and vulnerability assessments are carried out, at a period interval, and appropriate remedial actions are advised, implemented, and sustained;
• Conduct Security Risk Assessments to Identify security risks or vulnerabilities which may affect the profitability of the Company and implement cost-effective physical security solutions;
• Develop relationships within the organization to better understand all of the potential security risks which may cause harm to assets; performance, reputation, continued company growth, and success,
• Create and direct the implementation of emergency plans and procedures to respond immediately to direct and indirect threats.
• Ensure that approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are implemented in the area of responsibility.
• Conduct security spot checks at sites across all regions to ensure security measures are in place for maximum asset protection.
• Carry out all other lawful tasks as may be assigned in the course of duty in the area of responsibility.

• Maintain Health & safety awareness across all operations and all employees.
• Ensure contractor's compliance.

Education, Experience, and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in engineering, security management, environment, social sciences, law etc.
• Minimum 3-4 years experience in the field of asset security
• Understanding of insurance policies
• Relevant experience in HSES management
• Practical experience in the security of facilities (company security strategy, Risk assessment, preventive actions, investigation, and mitigation).
• Understanding of criminal procedures of Uganda.
• Understanding and working with government bodies.
• Good understanding of Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Social Risk management systems
• Good understanding of the IFC performance standards application
• Understanding of ISO certification and procedures.
• Ability to understand and interpret legal reports and court rulings.
• High ethical standards with proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Development of Standard Operation Procedures, Root Cause Analysis, and Business & people management.
• Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
