JOB DETAILS:
GRADUATE RECRUITMENT EXERCISE (GRE)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant posts currently available in Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies. Applications should be filled ON-LINE not later than 13th March 2023.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Physics; or Geophysics; or Physics and Mathematics; or Seismology; or Science and Technology with a bias in Physics from a recognized University/Institution.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Seismologist for performing the following duties:-
• Siting, Calibrating and maintaining earthquake recording stations;
• Collecting of earthquake data;
• Predicting quarterly and annual earthquake bulletins;
• Carrying out geotechnical investigations using active seismic survey;
• Carrying out research on improving locations of earthquake events;
• Training geophysical technicians in handling of sensitive equipment;
• Supervising and appraising the geophysical technicians;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
