JOB DETAILS:

Main Responsibilities
• Provide insights and analysis to support the development of the life insurance division's financial plans and budgets.
• Work closely with the product development team to assess the financial feasibility of new life insurance products.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with relevant accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, significant variances, and potential areas for improvement.
• Compliance: Stay updated with insurance regulations and underwriting best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Adherence to the laws and regulations of Kenya, the policies and regulations within the insurance industry and all internal company policies and procedures.
• Fostering a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship while maintaining a conducive work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive company culture.

Key Competencies
• Good knowledge and understanding of the life insurance industry is essential.
• Good understanding of life insurance products, actuarial principles, underwriting processes, risk management, and regulatory compliance specific to life insurance.
• Good risk management and assessment skills

Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or any related field from a recognized University 2. Professional qualification in CPAU or ACCA
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages

Relevant Experience
• Minimum (4) years' experience in a large and reputable Organisation.
