JOB DETAILS:

Duty Station: The Senior Connections Officer will be based in the offices of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, Kampala, Uganda, with travels to project implementation areas/sites for monitoring or as and when the need arises.
Reports to: Connections Manager-PIU Person Specifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Electrical Power Systems)/ Economics/ Finance/ Business Administration from a recognized University/Institution
• Master's Degree in one of the following fields: Engineering (Electrical/Power Systems/Power Economics), Renewable Energy/Energy Systems/ Project Planning & Management/Economics/ Business Administration from a recognized University/Institution

Experience
• At least six (6) years of relevant professional experience, three (3) of which must have been at senior level in project implementation and management position(s) for projects in an electricity utility or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
• Specific experience in the implementation of large-scale projects in electricity access related work financed by Multilateral/ Development Financial Institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, AFD, KFW, China Exim Bank or equivalent will be an added advantage.
