JOB DETAILS:

MAIN PURPOSE:
Responsible effective and proactive development, establishment, management and maintenance of NWSC’s IT Local Area Networks, Wide Area Network, Storage Area Network, Server hardware, IT connectivity and all the computing and telecommunications Peripherals and IT security; to ensure effective internal and external communication, reliable business continuity measures, maximum network availability and adequate IT security measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
• Enforce IT policies, especially IT security policies.
• Ensure IT security and a secure NWSC Corporate network.
• Maximize IT network availability.
• Available and robust Corporate Network connectivity in all NWSC Offices and areas and home broad band internet connectivity.
• Adequate bandwidth availability and utilization throughout the Corporation.
• Up-to-date Technical Specifications for all the corporation’s IT equipment and Hardware platforms.
• Cost effective management of the Corporation’s IT equipment and hardware (Computers, Servers, Routers, printers, Network switches, UPS, etc)
• Well maintained and updated inventory of all the Corporation’s IT equipment and assets.
• Well Configured and maintained Corporation voice and Telephony services.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by Management

THE PERSON
In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must have worked at a Principal Officer Level and above for at least three (03) years and should possess the following:
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION/TRAINING
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology / Computer Science or related field
• Master’s degree in: Information Technology / Business Administration / Project Management / or related field.
• CCNA Certification
• Preferred Additional Qualifications o IT Professional Qualification / Certification / Affiliation.

Experience
• A minimum of ten (10) years of postgraduate experience in IT services – IT governance or applications development or systems administration or IT security management or infrastructure or networks.
• A minimum of five (05) years of postgraduate qualification experience in IT infrastructure or IT networks and/or IT security management.
• Age Limit: 35 to 45 years of age
• Five years working with a large organization/firm is a must.
