JOB DETAILS:
Senior Officer , IT Networks job at Diamond Trust Bank ( DTB Uganda)

Responsible for the assurance of proper functioning of the bank’s IT network and communication systems, support, and maintenance of all local and wide area network connections, fixed-line voice networks, associated hardware, software and communication infrastructure ensuring all are in compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable ICT standards.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide a customer-focused approach to delivering IT services which provides value to the business units and bank’s customers.
• Manage the Bank’s IT resources (people and systems) to obtain optimal return on investments.
• Deliver IT services in line with the bank’s strategic direction and business requirements.
• Ensure availability of reliable and useful information for decision making
• Ensure optimization of IT related risk
• Ensures that appropriate network managers are monitoring, analyzing and evaluating performance and working on resolution of identified degradation trends and problem areas (Performance Management).
• Ensures that support for around-the-clock information transfer, storage, and processing is timely, efficient and meets the service levels required.
• Assist with IT staffing and budgeting projections on a company-wide basis.

Qualifications, Knowledge, experience, and personal competencies:
Knowledge
• Degree in Computer Science or an IT related course
• CCNA/CCNP

Experience
• At least 3 years working experience in Networks in a busy environment most preferably a financial institution.
• Familiarity with service delivery culture and support function.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Active directory.
• Up to date with cyber security trends.
