Job Summar
Responsible for assisting the Pile Operator in properly rigging and installing the conventional cast in-situ piling works.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Complies fully with all HSE policies and requirements and communicates safe working practices always.
• Ensures safe using working conditions of rigging gears, components, and tools to be used for the assembling of piling operations.
• Monitors the weight of materials being lifted to ensure that they do not exceed maximum limits.
• Provides hand signal to the equipment operator to align the rotary boring auger to specified boring locations.
• Installation of concrete hopper/funnel to the tremie pipes by locking them at the appropriate position.
• Connects flexible pipes to the concrete pump and ensures tightness and laying correctly through proper routes.
• Attach the tremie head to the top of the pipe and ascertained the inflow of concrete until completion of flushing.
• Rigging-up and de-rigging of ancillary equipment for piling operations.
• Carry out shifting/adjusting of the location of casing pipe to ensure proceeding of drilling at the exact pile location within the specified tolerance.
• Control movement and position of suspended cages prior to and during lowering into pile boreholes.
• Ensures the physical conditions of the cages are as per quality requirement and carries out required measurements to ensure cages reach the bottom of the borehole and don’t exceed heights, as per specifications of foundation.
• Carries out preparation of bentonite slurry; ensures circulation of bentonite slurry using reciprocating pumps/vertical pumps into the borehole.
• Monitors inflow and outflow of bentonite slurry to ascertain completion of the flushing activity to bored holes.
• Barricades with signage of temporary working surrounding for piling rig and crane activities as per the work safety requirements and traffic management plan.
• Adjusts the location of the casing pipe to ensure the proceeding of drilling at the exact pile location within the specified limit of tolerance.
• Ensured concreting up to the required level of the pile and continuous agitation of the pipe assembly throughout the concreting procedure.
• Supervises breaking of concrete with a jackhammer up to the specified level as per instruction and ensures embedded reinforcement bars are not affected by the hammer.
• Support concreting, shotcrete, nail anchoring, and dewatering activities, as determined necessary.
• Carry out the dismantling of staging/working platform, de-rigging of pile machine, isolating jackhammer, hoses, and compressor after completion of the breaking activity.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Higher national diploma in mechanical engineering or certificate/ training in a related field with 5 years of experience working on construction projects.
• 15 years of proven work experience in advanced machine operations on construction projects.
• 5 years of experience as a senior in piling operations and/or rigging is a MUST.
• Proficient in assigned pile driving techniques for steel piles.
• Knowledge of rigging standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of piling installation/extraction, micro piles, concrete forming and pouring, and mechanism of driving piles with a fixed mass system.
• First Aid/CPR Certifications.
• Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills, and a can-do attitude
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
