JOB DETAILS:
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Directly manage CONTRACTOR’S social responsibility program, including but not limited to:
• Social risk and impact
• Community investment
• Stakeholder engagement
• Grievance management
• National and local content
• Human rights
• Ensure appropriate coordination with COMPANY and compliance with contractual obligations (including the SMP and NCP), local law, and international standards
• Ensure coordination and strategic alignment across project social and national content initiatives that may be owned by other functions, such as Environment, Safety, Security,
• Administration, HR and Supply Chain
• Support project team to develop and apply appropriate tools, measures, and decision making process responsive to the specific cultural, local, regulatory, and client context
• Work with Main Contractor and project team to identify collaborative solutions to project issues or requirements
• Report social responsibility outcomes according to project requirements
• Manage project social budget and resources.

Qualifications and experience
• BA/BS in human rights, anthropology, sociology, international studies, political science, social work, psychology, or similar field
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication
• Excellent written communication skills
• Conflict management skills
• Flexibility and willingness to live and work in a camp environment in a remote location in Uganda as needed
• Fluent English language skills required
• Knowledge of Bantu preferred
• Experience in social responsibility project execution or consulting
• At least 6 years’ experience in Social Responsibility is preferred
• Proficiency in the relevant computer packages including Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to effectively and robustly challenge the views of contractors and internal contacts
