JOB DETAILS:
The Senior Specialist Infrastructure Operations and Planning is responsible for the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and the overall life cycle management of Technology infrastructure.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure seamless day-to-day operations for Enterprise infrastructure (Storage, servers), IP infrastructure, Internet backbone and ISP etc.
• Ensure 99.99% availability of Technology infrastructure.
• Technology infrastructure Incident management, service request fulfilment, problem management, configuration management, asset management, backup management, disaster recovery management etc.
• Life cycle management (planning, installation, maintenance) of data center physical and logical elements.
• Proactive monitoring, reporting and remediation of issues impacting
• Technology infrastructure.
• Planning, forecasting and capacity management for both hardware software in the technology infrastructure space.
• Security and audit assurance in the infrastructure domain.
• Patch management.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and infrastructure knowledge management.
• Ensure effective projects implementation and management.
• Collaboration with OEM vendors and service providers in effective management of Technology infrastructure.
• Audit assurance, controls assurance.
• Automations for efficiency in the infrastructure domain.
• Any duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (advanced degree will be an added advantage).
• Advanced experience of at least 4 years in Unix/ Linux System administration, Windows System administration, UNIX shell scripting,
• Windows PowerShell scripting and administration.
• Advanced experience in networks configuration and administration.
• Advanced experience in storage systems’ administration.
• Advanced experience in infrastructure automations.
• Demonstrated experience in database administration and scripting— Oracle, SQL server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Professional Certifications e.g., Sun Solaris Systems/Network/Security Administrator, Cisco, Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience in implementation and rollout of complex IT systems.
• Critical thinking, problem solving orientation, logical thought process.
