JOB DETAILS:
Duties & Responsibilities
• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
• Develop and implement strategies and processes to ensure operational and service effectiveness of the company logistics function.
• Implements Fuel surcharge strategies and manage the implementation of quarterly fuel adjustments. Monitors and reports actual spend and maintains KPI’s.
• Develops annual and mid-year logistics cost estimates by departments.
• Monitors global communications regarding risks and potential service disruptions. Recommend contingency sourcing options and implement if necessary.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Prepare annual budget.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report.
• Interprets and applies organizational policies; recommends changes/improvements to specialized processes and procedures.
• Partner with business units ensuring operations is conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and company policies.
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate programs and procedures are in place to meet company objectives and compliance obligations.
• Implement changes in laws, regulations and policies and assess impacts on internal processes and programs
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
• Degree in logistics, supply chain, international trade, communication and/or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in international warehouse and Logistics operations.
• Must be a good user of SAP or any other related ERP.
• Proven work experience with advanced knowledge in Business administration.
• Experience working on international construction projects is a must.
• Experience in managing logistics operations in an international construction company.
• Professional oriented on driving for results with good communication skills and ability of managing complex data analysis.
• Competency in driving execution.
• Ability to deal with internal customers’ pressure.
• Ability to deliver results, plan, execute and develop processes.
• Build effective working relationships with co-workers and internal clients.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical including Safety requirements in the oil and gas industry will be a plus.
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Office and any electronic procurement tools such as would be a plus
• Understanding of Portuguese would be a plus.
