Structural Engineer

Job description
The Structural Engineer will be an integral member of the design team, counted on to assist in the performance of Structural analysis and design for our projects. The role will involve the development, review and analysis of the design concepts, and communication of the structural requirements to the team members.
The successful candidate will perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis. He / She will develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for all company projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensure high-quality standards for structural design, detailing and drafting.
• Preparate design documents but not limited to detailed design reports, calculations, specifications, drawings, construction methodologies, material take-off and/or cost estimates, etc.
• Prepare, sign and seal plans, specifications, calculations, and other required documents.
• Participate meetings with project team members, clients, and other third-party committees to understand project challenges and constraints
• Conduct site surveys and due diligence inspections whenever required by the project.
• Attends Site Coordination meetings and troubleshoots issues on site.
• Attend client meetings on site/office and work with team members and external parties to facilitate the smooth progress of projects and maintain good working relationships throughout the project.
• Coordinates with the project Team members to manage the technical team in finishing projects efficiently considering project schedule, manpower resources, quality and safety.
• Undertake continuous technical learning, people management skills, and apply these skills to projects as required.

Qualifications
• Bachelor Science Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Structural Engineering

Skills and experience
• Five (5) years of experience on structural design, preferably with large scale construction projects
• Knowledge in construction codes and standards
• Experience in steel structure design & detailing
• Experience in reinforced concrete design & detailing
• Well-versed with the structural engineering design and analysis software
• Experience in Design of Buildings and Power Projects
• Experience in supervision of construction projects

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
