Job Summary
• The Structural Engineer position is responsible for performing structural analysis of new or existing communication structures (including guyed, self-supporting, monopoles and their foundations) and prepares formal, written reports regarding tower capacity and any recommendations for modifications to increase capacity. The Structural Engineer also performs modification designs, reviews designs and drawings provided by external engineering firms, and works with field staff to oversee the implementation of structural works

Responsibilities /Key
Deliverables
• Reviews tower structures and foundations for existing, proposed and reserved future tenant configurations.
• Analyzes tower structures and foundations using hand-calculations, tower analysis software and other accepted engineering methods.
• Designs reinforcing and extension solutions.
• Coordinates and manages timelines and milestones for review and analysis tasks.
• Ensures accurate project status reporting through available information systems in order to provide accurate customer and sales reporting.
• Ensure that all documents required for assessment or analysis of towers infrastructure are available, up to date, and properly stored per company approved standards and databases.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
• University Degree in Civil engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge on Microsoft or UNIX platforms or Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource
Planning) applications environment

Education and Experience:
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience. Prefer at least two years structural design experience in the wireless communications industry.
• Working knowledge of British Engineer Standard code and other relevant specifications desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple overlapping tasks in a fast-paced, high-growth, deadline driven environment.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work in a group and independently
• Must be able to travel
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2000 or equivalent.

Environment
• Approximately 90% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5-10% of travel will be required in support of the positions responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 12kgs.
