JOB DETAILS:

Reports to (position): Distillery Manager
Supervises (Name of Positions): Maintenance team

Overall purpose of the job.
Distillery plant maintenance

Key Responsibilities
1. Plant maintenance work.
2. Supervising maintenance team to complete the job in time.
3. Maintaining records related to ISO and all other audits and coordinating with ISO personnel.
4. Material indent preparation and further follow up with supplies & purchase department for material availability & regular communication to Distillery Manager regarding material status.
5. Maintenance of spares for all equipment.
6. Co ordinating with Superintendent shift on daily basis regarding problem solving and preventive maintenance.
7. Reporting to Distillery manager daily regarding maintenance work before start-up & after completion of the day.
8. Operation of boiler and turbine and maintenance work in boiler & turbine.
9. Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance by coordinating with respective sections.
10. Co ordinating with other Sugar factory sections with regard to functioning of the distillery.
11. Indent raising for outside contractors & supervise their job.
12. Responding immediately to attend sudden plant shut down work.
13. Supervises the housekeeping team in distillery.
14. Adhering to and enforcing the Safety, Health and Environment Policy of the company
15. ISO / UNBS certificate related coordination with the team.
16. Hygienic condition maintenance in Distillery premises.
17. Performing any other related duties that may be assigned by Distillery Manger / Management from time to time.

Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
Education: Graduate in Mechanical engg, /Diploma in mechanical engg with experience

Experience, Skills and Competences:
Experience in a distillery is an added advantage.
Communication Skills:
Ms Office:
Knowledge of computer is an added advantage
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyse the reasons for the maintenance and process parameters variation
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to respond auditors.

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
