JOB DETAILS:
The Cooper Motor Corporation (CMC) is the exclusive distributor of Ford, Mazda, Suzuki, New Holland tractors and Elcher Brand New Vehicles across Uganda.
CMC is looking for competent persons to fill the following vacant positions.
JOB TITLE: Technician Electrical
Reports to: Workshop Supervisor Main workshop
Direct Reports: NA
Department: Service
Location: Uganda
Band: C
JOB PURPOSE
To repair vehicles as per the repair order with efficiency and accuracy. To examine and identify any faults on the chassisl engines and give technical advice on the required repairs and/ or replacement parts. To check and ensure that quality work is carried out on customer's vehicles.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for safety economy and accuracy of own work or work assigned apprentice. Care of customers’ property.
• Description of the Accountability

• Main Job functions (Work Efficiency)
• To carry out work within the Company's set times (Work Efficiency Over 80%)
• Quality of Work
• To carry out repair work in accordance with the dealership and factory standards.
• To check own work after completion
• First Time Fix account for 90% of jobs.
• Clean Work Environment
• Maintain the work bay neat and clean always.
• Dispose any hazardous waste in accordance with the state regulations (NEMA). (Work area always maintained to required standards at all times.)
• Cost Control
• Account for dealership owned tools at all times. (Cost effectiveness) Customer Service
• To ensure that customers vehicles are kept safe and clean.
• Not to cause accidental damage to customers vehicles (Customer satisfaction)
• Communication
• Liaise with line supervisor to obtain required materials.
• Give feedback on work in progress.
• Effective communication

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Grade i Trade Test, Final Proficiency, Craft III
Minimum Experience: 3 Years
Job-Specific Skills
• To have served as a recognized apprenticeship.
• To have undertaken manufacturer's training.
• To have experience on manufacturer's model range.
• Computer literate
Behavioural Competencies :
Good interpersonal relationship.
