JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
Responsible for handling user interactions seeking health information via voice, text, email, social media, physical and teleclinic platforms for the purpose of health or wellness guidance.
The role will also include health content development, user engagement data collection and reporting, and related project-specific needs.

Duties and responsibilities;
• Supporting users to meet their health information needs through voice, text, email, social media, and teleclinic consultations in a timely, articulate, effective, and compassionate way.
• Accurately and completely recording every user’s information into a database.
• Ability to carry out minor surgical procedures and family planning techniques.
• Following up with users to confirm the resolution of inquiry and seek feedback on user experience for quality improvement.
• Submission of shift reports as required by the supervisor.
• Attend and take part in Continuous Medical Education sessions.
• Handle chronic care patients through the Rocket Health chronic care program.
• Order laboratory tests, and radiology tests, make specialist appointments for patients and refer patients to other specialist services when appropriate and called for.
• Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose medical conditions of patients and propose treatment options.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
• Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up-to-date before prescribing medication/treatment.
• Provide advice to patients on lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing.
• Adhere to company-wide policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all international and local health information privacy laws.
• Record complete, timely, and legible medical records.
• Participate in activation sessions to increase awareness of services and health information among Rocket Health clients.
• To perform any other appropriate tasks assigned from time to time-related to the position.

Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent.
• A minimum of two years experience working in a clinical role.
• A valid annual practising license with the Uganda Medical And Dental Practitioners Council.

• Must have good clinical acumen.
• Proficiency with computers and technology such as typing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, web, email, social media, and search engines.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive, work with minimum supervision, and accomplish tasks within the required time frame.
• High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information and be able to follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and proactivity.
• Ability to carry out minor surgical procedures.
• Conversant with all family planning techniques.
• High level of motivation to accomplish tasks within the required time frame.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
