Job Title: Tyre Fitter
Location: Luwereo
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our factory car workshop team. The primary responsibility of the Tyre Fitter will be to handle all vehicle tyre-related issues, including installation, repair, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling tyres and troubleshooting various tyre-related problems.

Responsibilities:
• Installation and Replacement: Mounting, balancing, and installing tyres on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
• Repair and Maintenance: Identifying tyre issues such as punctures, tread wear, and alignment problems, and performing necessary repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing tyre-related problems, such as vibrations, noise, or handling issues, and providing effective solutions.
• Wheel Alignment: Conducting wheel alignment procedures to ensure proper vehicle handling and tyre longevity.
• Customer Service: Interacting with customers /drivers to understand their tyre needs, providing recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Inventory Management: Keeping track of tyre inventory, ordering replacements when necessary, and maintaining a well-organized workshop area.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines while working with tyres and related equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on tyre-fitting equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of tyre installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with industry trends, new tyre technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tyre Fitter or similar role in a automotive workshop environment.
• Proficient in tyre installation, repair, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with tyre-fitting equipment and tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve tyre-related issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Senior 4 UCE certificate or equivalent qualification in automotive mechanics or related field is required.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on the job responsibilities.
