Job Description
Hills Lounge Wakiso is currently seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress to join our team. As a Waitress, you will be the face of our establishment, providing excellent customer service to our patrons and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. Your attentiveness, product knowledge, and positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.


Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Welcome and greet customers warmly, providing a friendly and attentive demeanor throughout their dining experience.
2. Order Taking: Efficiently take food and beverage orders from customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to special requests or dietary preferences.
3. Menu Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens, to assist customers with their choices.
4. Food and Beverage Delivery: Serve food and drinks to customers promptly and professionally, adhering to service standards.
5. Upselling and Recommendations: Offer menu recommendations and upsell additional food and beverage items to enhance the customer experience.
6. Table Setting and Clearing: Set up tables with appropriate utensils, napkins, and condiments. Clear tables efficiently after customers have finished their meals.
7. Payment Processing: Present bills to customers and process payments accurately, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
8. Complaint Handling: Address any customer concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism, and escalate issues to management if necessary.
9. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the dining area and work station.
10. Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to provide seamless service and a positive work environment.


Qualifications:
1. Previous Experience: Prior experience as a waitress or in a customer service role in the hospitality industry is preferred.
2. Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a courteous and helpful manner.
3. Product Knowledge: Familiarity with the restaurant’s menu items and ingredients to assist customers effectively.
4. Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, serving customers, and processing payments.
5. Positive Attitude: A friendly and positive demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
6. Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient service.
7. Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the restaurant’s operating hours.
8. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays with food and beverages.
