JOB DETAILS:
To provide Legal services to UWA in accordance with the laws of Uganda

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Represent UWA in courts of law in both civil and criminal matters.
• Provide advice to management on legal matters
• Prepare Legal documents including pleadings, contracts and correspondences.
• Liaise with relevant Government Offices on legal matters.
• Review contracts, agreements and MoUs.
• Process legal documentation of all UWA properties and assets.
• Supervise and appraise the Legal Clerk.
• Support secretariat of Management and Board of Trustees
• Support the preparation of Unit quarterly and annual work plans and performance reports
• Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Person Specifications Qualifications
• Possession of an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University.
• Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal practice.
• Must be an enrolled advocateof the High Court of Uganda with a valid Practicing Certificate
• Experience:
• At least three (3) years working experience as a practicing Advocate.
