JOB DETAILS:
To plan and implement the procurement process and disposal function of UWA in accordance with the PPDA Act.

Duties and Responsiblities
• Compile procurement schedules and draw up item specifications from the different Departments and PAs in line with UWA Procurement guidelines.
• Identify and contact suppliers, evaluate price quotations and recommend to management the supplier to be awarded contract in line with UWA’s Procurement guidelines.
• Guide suppliers on correct procurement documentation
• Monitor supplies of goods and services in line with the contract
• Verify if the supplied items are in accordance with approved specifications
• Participate in the preparation of draft bid documents
• Prepare and update an approved list of providers and suppliers
• Participate in the preparation of statutory procurement and disposal reports to PPDA.
• Prepare reports on procurement and logistic support functions for management decisions in line with organizational requirements.
• Liaise with accounts to facilitate timely payment to suppliers
• Perform any other official duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Persons Specifications Qualifications:
• Should possess an Honours Bachelors Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management from a recognized awarding University/Institution.
• Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS) A post Graduate Diploma in Public Procurement Management from a recognized awarding Institution is an added advantage.
• Experience:
• Should have at least three (3) years relevant working experience from a
• reputable Organization.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
