JOB DETAILS:
The secretary Prisons council invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts of recruit Warders/ Wardresses. .

QUALIFICATION
All applicants must be:
• Ugandan Citizens aged 18-30 years.
• In possession of 0’level certificates with at least 4 credits including one in English and a pass in Mathematics. (University graduates and Diploma holders should NOT apply).
• Physically fit

REQUIREMENTS
• Handwritten application addressed to the Secretary Prisons Council; with O3 photocopies of certificates/result slips.
• With three (03) recent passport size photographs.
• Photocopy of National citizenship identity card and ID of former school.
• Of good conduct with no criminal record and a letter of recommendation from L.C. I chairpersons of their villages endorsed by LC II and LC III chairpersons of Districts of Origin.
• A reliable telephone contact of the applicant.

CONDITIONS
• Ready to undergo both oral and written interviews.
• Ready to undergo thorough Medical Examination as part oi the interview to confirm suitability to undergo rigorous physical training

Job application procedure
Interviews shall be conducted at the 15 Regional Prisons Headquarters.
Only shortlisted candidates shall be invited for interviews on the dates to be communicated to them.
Successful applicants should be ready to undergo a minimum oi nine-month basic Prisons Officers Training Course.
Effective appointment into the service is subject to successful completion of the training.
NOTE: Presentation of forged documents or impersonation is criminal and shall be prosecuted in Courts of Law.
