Background
Welthungerhilte (WHH), rounded in 1962, is today one of the biggest Non-Governmental Aid and development agencies in Germany. We campaign against worldwide hunger and for sustainable food and nutrition security by promoting site appropriate farming, establishing access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, improving healthcare and education for people living in rural areas as well as promoting skills development for youth.

In Uganda, Welthungerhilte currently is operating in the districts of Moroto, Yumbe, Arua, Adiumani, Namalu and Fort Portal with its Country Office in Kampala. With a grant received from ECHO- European Commission for Humanitarian Aid, the organization will implement a one year project entitled “WASH RESPONSE T0 SOUTH SUDAN REFUGEES IN BIDIBIDI SETTLEMENT, YUMBE DISTRICT." Welthungerhille therefore is seeking to recruit very dynamic. highly motivated and qualified candidates to fill the positions mentioned below in the Welthungerhilfe Project office in Yumbo District.

Position: Wash Engineer
Duration: February - December 201 7
Reports to: Project Manager Yumbe Project Office
Duty Station: Yumbe District

Required qualifications. competencies and experience
Formal Education

University Degree in Engineering or other relevant field(s) Professional experience

• At least 5 years of practical hands-on experience in water treatment and supply scheme , sanitation, public health, geophysics
•  Prepare technical drawings, BoQ specifications tor water supply schemes in refugee settlements and sanitation infrastructure
•  Minimum of 1 year working in similar field in an emergency Response
