JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The Welder’s primary responsibility is TIG, MIG etc. welding of aluminum and steel (also, stainless steel) parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• MIG and TIG welding, including the following:
• Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols).
• Inspect welds for accuracy.
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts.
• Change wire, welding, as needed.
• Change gas tanks, as needed.
• Ensure that the welding equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure welding equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
• Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.
• Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
• Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
• Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.
• Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
• Observe and fully participate in the Company Way Operating System
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements required:
• Minimum Craft part II Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with specialized training in welding and fabrication.
• At least 5 years of experience in the same role.
• Confidence, Integrity, Trustworthy, Respectful, Team Player and Innovator.
• Honesty and reliable, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Needs to be flexible and able to demonstrate sound work ethics.
