Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda’s leading manufaurer of quality building products located at Kajjansi, 4 KM along Kampala-Entebbe Road with second factory t Kamonkoli near Mal. The company seeks to recruit competent and dynamic individuals of high integrity to fill the following position:

Post: Quality Assurance Assistant (Laboratory)-Kajiansi

Job Purpose:
Responsible for working together with the Quality Assistants and production supervisors to ensure that products are analysed correctly and results communicated in time to minimize wastage and rejection during the production process.

Key responsibilities:

• To take responsibility for managing and coordinating the work of the laboratory, ensuring that standards are followed at all time;
• Taking the lead to ensure that all samples collected are delivered to the Laboratory for thorough analysis and review;
• To conduct proper, correct and timely analysis and testing of collected clay samples at all times.
• Conduct proper, correct and timely analysis and testing of green clay products;
• Conduct proper, correct and timely laboratory analysis and testing of dry clay products;
• Conduct proper, correct and timely analysis and testing of baked clay products;
• Take the lead to ensure that data is properly recorded in the raw data book, processed and entered in the daily report books / templates;
• Work in accordance with and to Uganda Clay's Quality and Safety procedures at all times.

Job requirements;

• A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Materials Science or chemistry field from a recognized institution.
• Experience in ceramic engineering, geology or othe earth science field is a plus.
• Familiarity of clay manufacturing technology.
• Good knowledge of physio—chemical characteristics o products, parameters and standards applied to Clay products manufacturing.
