Job Description
• Provide support and assistance to the CMO/ HSE/HR manager regarding health and medical laws and regulations in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya and should be an interface for COMPANY with the Ministry of Health, the Government of Uganda, Uganda Medical Associations, the Ugandan public Hospitals and Private Clinics.
• Practice as a full-time physician for COMPANY as a GP with experience in Emergency Medicine and competence in occupational health. Conduct MEDEVAC in case of any urgent situation in Kampala or on site.
• Inform HR about all the released Fitness Certificates for COMPANY staff (administrative document).
• Release any relevant medical information on time for COMPANY (sources: MOH, WHO, CDC, Alert sites, Local sources).
• Release flyers, newsletter, booklets and update medical information on WAT.
• Organize medical awareness sessions to prevent diseases or accidents.
• Supervise the Sites Health Facilities (supervising doctor) and keep best official relationship with the District Health Officer and the UMDPC (MOH) for any matter (Licenses, cooperation, Outbreaks).
• Propose private-public Health Project (private-public partnership) with Government.
• Follow-up the Medical dashboard with objectives defined by the CMO/HSE/HR managers.
• Stay available on call 24/7 for any emergency medical issue.
• Order medical items and drugs (with C&P), follow-up the inventory and ensure about the on-time delivery.
• Attend COMPANY meetings and external events.
• Develop Medical and Pharmaceutical network in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya for COMPANY.
• Initiate and evaluate drills for HQ and sites.
• Keep tight contact with COMPANY Medical Providers in order to improve services
• Inspect health facilities in Uganda (Kampala and upcountry)/ Registered providers for COMPANY and others.
• Do or supervise health and Hygiene inspection for COMPANY.
• Plan and follow-up first-aid training/ advanced first-aid training.
• Review and update medical procedures in place / propose new ones.
• Act on behalf of the CMO during his absence.
• Stay available for any extra-missions and trainings.

Candidate profile
• Minimum 5 years of experience (HEAD) of one of these experiences: IPD, OPD, Surgery. Experience with Oil & gas sector or remote site will be appreciated.
• Knowledge and experience in Occupation health is an added advantage.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Excellent managing experience (Chief of project, development project, developing clinics or health facilities).
• Excellent Knowledge of International Medical Groups or companies.
• Proven excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Showed commitment in past project and positions (letter of recommendation).
• Showed cross-cultural managerial skills.
• Showed learning skills (language (French is welcome), soft skills, management).

Job Description
• Medical consultation for TEP Uganda and TUL expatriates’ employees and dependents.
• Advice to TEP Uganda management (H3SE Manager) about health policies
• Development and update of TEP Uganda Health and Hygiene Management System (Health Plan, Malaria, RAF, Risk assessment, emergency documents...) according to Total standards to control exposure to health hazards.
• Development, implementation and coordination of a medical support system in accordance with Total standards:
• Site medical facilities, equipment and procedures, personnel: sick bays, intensive care equipment, qualified nurses and medics, ambulances, standard protocols and good practices.
• Kampala medical support: network of hospitals, clinics and specialized practitioners, assistance companies...
• Medical evacuation: primary (site-Kampala), secondary (Kampala-abroad) • Recruitment, training and mentoring of Ugandan medical staff.
• Development of health awareness and prevention campaigns (malaria, HIV,) and appropriate communication for improvement of health culture
• Participation in health-related projects: road emergency assistance, emergency rescue


Candidate profile
• Master’s in medicine, BSc. Medicine, emergency or intensive care medicine, tropical deceases.
• Minimum 10 years professional experience in Emergency medical care/response.
• Knowledge in Occupation health (official qualification is not mandatory, experience appreciated).
• Fluent in French and English.
• Broad experience in clinical medicine and remote site care. Previous experience in oil & gas industry appreciated.
• Training in Advanced Cardiac, trauma life support and emergency response management.

Job Title: Health & Nutrition Officer (01position)

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Program Area Manager, the Health and Nutrition Officer will ensure the Health and Nutrition project is implemented in line with FH'S H&N technical program and strategy. Provide training and technical assistance to Care groups, VHTS, and exhaustively monitor project implementation. This includes conducting surveys and assessments to determine training needs, mobilizing and sensitizing communities and stakeholders, forming participants' groups, designing and conducting training of project participants in Essential Nutrition Actions, essential Nutrition Practices to ensure successful implementation of the project according to project design document and result framework.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Key Result area #1: Project planning and implementation
• Key Result area #2: Management of Maternal child health nutrition
• Key Result area #3: Integrate Maternal child health and adolescent nutrition (MIYCAN) in health facilities

Education & Experience
• Degree in Food Science and Technology degree; Public Health or Human Nutrition or Postgraduate qualification in the fields above highly desired.
• Experience in health and nutrition assessments and working in a humanitarian context.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in similar setting required.
• A good communicator, strong oral and written communications skills desired.
• Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
• Must have motorcycle riding skills with a valid and clean permit and be willing to access communities by motorcycle Language
• Proficiency in any language spoken in the local community and written English is a Must.
