JOB DETAILS:Human Resource Administrator – Plant Based (01 Position), Namanve
Reporting To Human Resource Manager, The Successful Candidate Will:
Key Result Areas:
• Liaising with Selection and Appraisal Advisor in facilitating shop floor recruitment, performance appraisal, contract renewals, confirmations, promotions and complying to manpower optimization reports.
• Liaising with Training and Development Advisor to conduct and evaluate Trainings done at the shop floor.
• Liaising with the Employee Relations and Welfare Advisor in motivating and disciplining employees by participating in all welfare activities such as award ceremonies and disciplinary inquiries respectively at the shop floor.
• Helping employees understand the company General Rules and Regulations and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Ensuring daily staff attendance, shift schedules and all leaves taken are updated in a timely manner.
• Liaising with Payroll advisor to cross check attendance reports generated from logic time, where need be rectifying and handling absenteeism cases.
• Sensitization of staff concerning the importance and appropriate use of the punching machine as well as the consequences of failing to comply.
• In liaison with other supervisors at the shop floor ensure staff overtime and night allowance data is compiled and submitted to Payroll Advisor by the monthly cut off date i.e. 20th of every month.
• Conducting routine man power and plant checks to ensure all staff comply with established policies and procedures, following up and resolving of issues within the plant
• Ensuring all employees adhere and comply with PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) requirements.
• Conducting biweekly roll call of all staff at the shop floor.
• Receiving loans, leave and salary advance applications, forwarding them to Human Resource Department and making a follow up.
• Overseeing monthly soap distribution as well as accountability and ensuring soap list is up-to-date as per current man power.
• Advising and helping the Business Unit Manager on human resource related issues and to deal with employees at plant.
• Attending to minor disciplinary issues, helping in enforcing discipline among employees and generating incident and accident reports to be submitted to Employee Relations and Welfare advisor.
• Preparing weekly reports to be submitted to the Human Resource Manager.
• Maintaining an updated track sheet of daily attendance, man power and production in metric tones for weekly and monthly submission to the Human Resource Manager and General Manager Management Services.
• Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
*A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology; Social Sciences, Social Work and other related discipline
Knowledge of existing labor laws
One year’s working experience in a similar role in a large company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement employment activities across the airline, ensuring properly qualified applicants are recruited.
• Coordinate selection and promotion of personnel.
• Update the company human resources manual and communicate to all staff.
• Ensure that all employees of the Airline are informed/advised on human resource programs, policies, procedures, and controls of the company.
• Administer compensation and benefits systems including carrying out salary surveys, and preparing and submitting remuneration review recommendations.
• Develop and update job descriptions for all positions for approval by the Board periodically.
• Keep comprehensive up-to-date personal records of employees on matters such as bio-data, wages, training, and other related aspects.
• Assist and guide the Airline employees with personal problems, career development, and welfare-related issues and services.
• Prepare and submit, or oversee the preparation of various employee departmental reports as scheduled/ requested, including analyses of staffing levels.
• Administer, monitor, and maintain leave records in compliance with company policies and national labor laws.
• In collaboration with relevant department heads, design and monitor training programs across the organization.
• Develop and implement a complete suite of human resources systems including policies and procedures supporting a performance-centric culture.
• Constantly update the Staff Establishment in line with approved organogram
• Serve as the main link between the Airline employees and management on all matters of human resources nature.
• Constantly update the Human Capital Management portal
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Chief Executive Officer.
Minimum Qualification:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or another closely related discipline from a recognized University.
• A Postgraduate Diploma In Human Resources Management
• HR Professional certification will be an added advantage
• Proven working knowledge and experience in all functional HR areas with an emphasis on employee relations and staff development
• Proven capability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal, with people at all levels in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
• Relevant working experience of 15 years; at least 5 of which should have been at the management level in human resources.
• Experience in managing Human Resources in a large organization.
• Should be a member of a Human Resource Professionals body.
