JOB DETAILS:Post: Senior Physiotherapist - 1 Post

Reports to: Principal Physiotherapist
Qualifications:
• Must have a Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized Institution.
Experience:
• Must have served for at least three (3) years as a Physiotherapist.
Other requirements:
• Good communication, interpersonal, counseling and team building skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Diagnose and manage patients.
b) Provide rehabilitative services to patients.
c) Advise on specifications for physiotherapy appliances.
d) Train patients on the use of physiotherapy methods and appliances.
e) Organize and conduct physiotherapy outreach services.
f) Requisition for equipment and other supplies for the unit.
g) Ensure quality assurance in physiotherapy services.
h) Ensure physiotherapy equipment is secure, functional and well maintained.
i) Initiate and participate in research activities.
j) Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.
k) Ensure that Staff adhere to the relevant Codes of Conduct and Ethics.
l) Carry out human resource management activities like identifying manpower needs, training, leave and deployment.
m) Participate in planning, budgeting, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of physiotherapy activities.
n) Manage and account for allocated resources.
o) Compile and submit periodic reports.
p) Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Reports to: Senior Clinical Officer
Qualifications:
• Must have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Experience:
• Should have worked for at least three (3) years as Clinical Officer in a reputable Institution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Treat and ensure proper management of patients.
b) Refer complicated cases to the Senior Clinical Officer.
c) Liaise with other cadres in the Unit in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
d) Participate in the implementation of primary health care activities.
e) Participate in research activities.
f) Participate in the collection of health data.
g) Participate in teaching staff, patients and the public.
h) Promote the observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics.
i) Compile and submit periodic reports.
j) Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Reports to: Hospital Director
Qualifications:
• Must have a Diploma in Clinical Ophthalmology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Must have a Diploma in Management or Administration from a recognized • Institution.
Experience:
• Must have served for at least six (6) years in Clinical Ophthalmology, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Ophthalmic Clinical Officer in a reputable Institution.
Other requirements:
• Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills as well as fully developed counseling skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a) Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluating ophthalmic clinical activities.
b) Manage and account for allocated resources.
c) Diagnose, treat and manage patients with eye illnesses.
d) Refer complicated cases to an Ophthalmologist.
e) Ensure maximum protection of patients, relatives and staff.
f) Carry out community sensitization about eye health.
g) Initiate and participate in research activities.
h) Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.
i) Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him/or her.
j) Carry out Human Resource Management activities such as identifying manpower needs, training, leave and deployment.
k) Compile and submit reports.
l) Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
