Job Summary: The Confectionery Production Manager will be tasked with the day-to-day supervision of activities of the Confectionery Production Unit to ensure that the highest safety and quality standards are achieved. S/He will be responsible for efficient and timely production.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure the implementation of the defined production standards, ensuring they are carried out in a proper and safe manner.
• The Production Manager will be responsible for efficient and timely production for this confectionery, Food Science and marketing needs.
• Planning and organizing production schedules
• Assessing project and resource requirements
• Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
• Tasked with determining quality control standards
• Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
• Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
• Supervising the work of junior staff
• Organizing relevant training sessions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science /Production Engineering/ related studies with five years’ experience in the industry (baking/ snacks or sweets production) OR Diploma in Food science with eight years of production management experience in Confectionery
• Previous experience in confectionery i.e. sweets and snacks craft production facility a MUST
• Good team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Keen attention to details and extremely thorough.
• Highly flexible and very professional.
• Ability to multitask and meet targets set
