Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical head of the district health department.
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate health services delivery within the district.
  • Monitor the implementation of government health policies, programs, and projects.
  • Manage district health data and reporting to the Ministry of Health.
  • Supervise all health units and ensure proper health service delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MBChB degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or Health Services Management is an added advantage.
  • Must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience, 3 of which should be at senior management level in the health sector.

  2. Applications should be in triplicate on PSC Forms 2008 submitted to the Secretary District Service Commission, P. O. Box 335, Mbale to reach not later than Friday 16-05-2025 at 5.00 PM.
