Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) is a youth-centered non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment programs, particularly in areas of sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV/AIDS awareness, life skills development, and employment readiness. As we celebrate 15 years of impactful service to the youth community, we continue to build a dynamic team that is committed to our mission.

Position Overview:

The Front Desk Officer will be responsible for managing the reception area, handling administrative support tasks, and serving as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and welcome all visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Manage front office operations including receiving and directing phone calls, messages, and mail
  • Maintain the reception area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure all guest needs are met
  • Handle inquiries from clients and stakeholders efficiently
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Assist in organizing events, meetings, and other office activities
  • Ensure front desk security protocols are followed

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be an active or former Reach A Hand Peer Educator
  • Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Office Management, Administration, Public Relations, or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Good command of the English language (both spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
