The Adventist Development and Relief Agency ADRA Uganda is a Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization ot the Seventh-day Adventist church that demonstrates God’s love and compassion. The organization works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. Currently the organization implements relief and development projects in West Nile, Acholi, Karamoja and South-western Uganda. ADRA Uganda wishes to recruit highly qualified, experienced and energetic Ugandan nationals, to occupy the vacant positions in an upcoming project due to start on 1st April 2017 as indicated below:

Project: REFUGEE EMERGENCY AID FOR LIFE (REAL) PROJECT
(Duty Station —Any of the Refugee Settlements in West Nile Region)

Gender Specialist

Education: At least a Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: Community Psychology; Education; Social Sciences; Counseling and Guidance, Human Rights; Development Studies; Law or any other relevant degree.

Experience and other required qualities: At least 3 years’ working experience with vulnerable groups such as refugees, lDPs, and Persons with special needs (PWDs). Technical training and hands-on experience on Social Protection; Gender-Based Violence; monitoring and evaluation — including data collection analysis and good report writing. Good communication skills; teamwork; ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines; and a willingness to work in hardship areas. Should be computer literate and have a valid motorcycle riding permit. Ability to speak at least one of the major languages spoken in West Nile region will be an added advantage.
