Position Title: High School Head Teacher
Position Type: Full time
Location: Mbazzi Riverside High School, Bujuuko, Mityana Road, Mpigi District
Reports to: Director of Schools

Duties and responsibility

• Overall administration and management of the School.
  
• Building effective relationships with parents, education partners and external stakeholders.
  
• Supervise both teaching and non-teaching staff.
  
• Ensures effective and efficient maintenance of records, material resources, facilities and information services for efficient accountability.
  
• Monitoring coverage of the syllabus, quality of teaching and effectiveness of learning outcomes.
  
• Ensure integrity of internal and external exams administration and supervision.
  
• Prepares the academic plans, programmes and schedules of the school.
  
• Providing leadership in guiding the various co-curricular activities and school-based events.
  
• Maintaining high level of discipline in the school for both teachers and pupils.
  
• Perform any other duty assigned by the relevant authority.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized University.
  
• Registered as a Graduate Teacher with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  
• A minimum of five (5) years teaching experience and three (3) years as High School Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher
  
• A relevant administrative experience is an added advantage
  
• Should have a track record of delivering excellent results.
  
• Must be ready to reside at the school.
