JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Lugazi, Uganda
- Department: Finance & Accounts
- Reports To: Accounts Manager

- Summary: The role involves supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, and statutory returns
- Track inventory costs and reconcile stock
- Manage petty cash and expense claims
- Support payroll processing and data collation
- Maintain financial documentation and filing
- Assist in audit preparations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience (internships or industrial training in accounting preferred)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems)
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organizational, and communication skills
- High integrity and commitment to confidentiality
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with accounting in manufacturing/industrial settings
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, factory-based environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt
