Environment Graduate Trainee
.
The Graduate Trainee will support the environmental team in managing and implementing environmental protection strategies, ensuring that the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project complies with local and international environmental regulations and standards.
.
Responsibilities:
- Biodiversity Monitoring:
- Assist in conducting environment assessments and monitoring programs along the pipeline route.
- Collect and analyse data related to flora and fauna, documenting any observed changes or impacts.
- Environmental Compliance:
- Support the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process by reviewing and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental practices eg NEMA ,NFA
- Facilitate community awareness programs on the importance of environmental stewardship.
- Data Management:
- Organize and maintain databases containing environmental related information.
- Prepare regular reports on environment status, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
- Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on current environmental research and trends.
- Contribute to research projects that enhance the understanding of the project's impact on the environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
