JOB DETAILS:
Youth Encouragement Services (YES) and Welthungerhilfe have been implementing a project named "Amaanl Rwenzori!" in Fort Portal since September 2015. YES, is a Ugandan NGO which has been in existence and operational since 2004. Welthungerhilfe is an International German NGO which has been cooperating with YES since 2011. Amaani Rwenzori! is a Youth Development Centre & Social Business which empowers the region's vulnerable youth through work-based non-formal vocational training combined with life skills and entrepreneurship; after which training process, the participants are assessed and issued the nationally recognised certificate known as the Worker's PAS by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). Amaani Rwenzori! is part of the Skill-Up! program of Welthungerhilfe. Now, the two Partner Organisations seek to recruit suitably qualified individuals for the said project to occupy the offices listed here below:
Job position: Business Development Manager:
Responsibilities/Duties
• Coordinate the development of the social business model and brand of Amaani Rwenzori! (inclusive of beauty services, pottery and fashion products) Lead the development of social business plans and streamline production processes Supervise and mentor the business unit managers in pottery, fashion, beauty services and coffee craft shop Support in marketing, PR and product design (including use of internet and social media) Support project procurement processes
Collect and maintain accurate data and business statistics, synthesize the collected data toguide business processes and decisions Act as an internal auditor for the social business units
Qualifications, work experience and related attributes:
• Possession of a University Degree in a business-related field with at least 3 years of work experience in business development or CSR the ideal candidate must be dynamic, articulate, innovative, reliable, a team player and passionate about youth and development issues. Should possess well developed interpersonal, communication, analytical, customer care and adequate
management skills
• Be adept in computer (inclusive of MS Office packages), social media and internet use Pottery Worleshop Manager YES and Welthungerhilfe are seeking the services of a qualified and highly experienced Potter/Ceramic Engineer to produce unique and high-quality handmade ceramics at the Amaani Rwenzori! Pottery Workshop in Fort Portal.
