Position summary:
Data Senior Analyst will have the responsibility of bringing together theory and practice to identify and communicate data driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and other executives in PABRA to make more informed decisions. He/ she should be able to put together data from different sources, organize it in a more accessible formats for reuse and then analyze it to derive informative messages. Furthermore, the Data Senior Analyst should be able to translate those statistics into meaningful policy level information and communicate it concisely and accurately. .

Main duties and responsibilities include:
• Managing PABRA master data set, troubleshooting data issues, regularly audits M&E data in order to guarantee compliance, accuracy, and ensure accessibility for reuse.
• Contributing to the development of PABRA and Bean Programme reports and publications
• Analyzing data and producing research insights from M&E data and presenting clear understandable results on patterns and trends that seek to explain progress to relevant theme leaders. managers and partners.
• Developing innovative, user-friendly and informative products from aggregated M&E data for results dissemination and communication to a wide audience.
• Developing dashboards that will provide quick summaries oF the aggregated results
• Translate those statistics into meaningful policy level information and communicate it concisely and accurately.

The candidate shall have the following competencies, skills and experience:
• At least MSc in either development economics, Resource and agricultural economics. statistics, agribusiness. or equivalent.
• Proficient in data science programming languages like R or Python and manage data for analysis
• Knowledge of STATA statistical package
• At least five minimum years of experience in a similar job
• Experience with business intelligent tools for comprehensive reporting, analysis, and data visualization
• Ability to analyze large datasets be it structured or unstructured,
• Ability to write comprehensive reports, digital data programming and development of meta data
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also participate as a team member in accomplishment of duties
• Strong ability to co-ordinate, prioritize and organize workload; take initiative and work under pressure
• Highly effective planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills with a positive attitude and strong administrative service orientation
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Commitment to organization's mission and core values.

Terms of employment:
This is a nationally recruited position based at the Alliance Office in Kawanda, Uganda. The contract will be for a one-year period, subject to a probation period of three (3) months, renewable depending on availability of resources.
