IT ISON Technologies Uganda Limited is looking for a Lead in IT Networks and Security for its Operation in Uganda.

Candidate Profile
• Over 10 years' experience working in the Telecom Sector. International experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong experience in Enterprise Telephony (TDM & IP). Contact Centers and Structured Connectivity / Cabling Solutions (SCS) technologies on world class product platforms.
• Solid experience with practical understanding of Technical aspects in design & deployment of enterprise voice network infrastructure based on industry best practices and standards.
• In depth understanding of end customer business communication needs, requirements and challenges. Strong experience with Avaya/Nortel/Cisco voice-based project implementation
• Good people/program/project management skills
• Excellent Communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills.

Professional qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, ITIL Foundation, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Routing & Switching. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Routing & Switching, Cisco Certified Design Associate, (CCDA), Cisco Certified Network Associate, Security (CCNA-Security), Cisco Certified Network Associate, VoIP (CCNA-Voice). Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist, Cisco Express Foundation Design Specialist (CXFS), Cisco Unity Design Specialist, Cisco Certified Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist, HP-AIS

Responsibilities:
• Configuration and Management of MPLS VPN, BGP, OSPF, VLANS.
• Management and configuration of Cisco & juniper enterprise product family (1800/2800/3800/7200/7600). PE (7200/7300/7500/10000), P (7300, GSR) for corresponding IOS and features.
• Management of overall WAN & LAN network infrastructure across countries & core Data Centres Expertise in Network Auditing and standardisation project (ISP/MPLS).
• Working knowledge of Huawei and Hitachi or knowledge of HDS VSP-G200/G400/G600/G800 etc.
• Performing technical negotiation with customer & service providers/partners.
• Management and configuration in MPLS Rollout project (includes Tierl, Tier2 and Tier3 Management, Configuration and Troubleshooting and solutions for Level-3
• Escalated network issues, Bandwidth management, Network Planning, and implementation of network services.
• Team management for Planning and commissioning of additional and new infrastructure, new POPs etc. based on traffic analysis.
• Leading Team for monitoring performance of all the Core and Edge Routers with proper records and data.
• Network technical solution manager for new DC setup & restructuring.
• Participation in Necessary up gradation of Care and Edge network equipment by following specific change management process etc.
• Providing support to all Pop CSG Engineers.
• Configuring of BGP on the international and domestic links of customers and upstream providers based on policy using route-maps, filter-lists, weight, Metric etc.
• Re-engineering internal & external routing for complete redundancy using various routing policy.
• Report Preparation-Network uptime/Latency & SLA calculation.
• Implementation OF TACACS, Cisco works, ITNM, Solar winds, CSMARS, MRTG, RADIUS etc. network management tools.
• Implementation of Syslog (Log Capturing) and KIWI (backup) for Bharti Network.
• Implementation and configuration of Routing Protocols: OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay
• Switching: Layer2 switching, VLANs, InterVLAN routing, Multi-protocol layer switching (MPLS).
• Management and configuration of Remote Access: Asynchronous dial-up, ISDN, Frame Relay, Leased lines.
