Reports to: Duty Manager

Job Summary:
The load controller will be responsible for ensuring flight safety by performing load planning, weight and balance calculations and finalization of the load sheet and their loading documents in accordance with the Standard Operations Procedures.

Key accountabilities /responsibilities:
• Ensure on-time departure without compromising safety.
• Ensure accurate computation of aircraft weight and balance
• Prepare and communicate to loading personnel(Agents) a load plan that is in line with Aircraft loading instruction processes
• Load planning shall consider fuel loads and distribution, Aircraft equipment, planned dead load, expected passenger load, fuel efficiency, special loads and shall always be performed in accordance with the Aircraft manufacturer and Company limitations.
• Calculate accurately EZFW optimize fuel consumption and load planning
• Finalize load sheet showing load distribution, special loads and LMCS that conform to UR operating procedures.
• Identify and report any hazards, near misses, incidents and accidents
• Adhere to UR principles and practices
• Embrace and maintain a positive safety culture, a healthy and secure working environment in compliance with the relevant industry and legislative requirements.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience):
• Higher diploma with airport operations experience
• A university degree will be an added advantage
• Airside safety training
• IATA DGR CAT 8 Training
• Computer proficiency
• ADP(Airside Driving Permit)
