JOB DETAILS:
Unit head – Forensic services and security
The Position:
This role is responsible for the Oversight of Physical Security and Safety of Premises, employees and bank assets. In addition the role holder is in charge of strategically and proactively preventing, detecting and investigating all cases of fraud and keeping the business informed of emerging fraud threats against the bank.

Security Management:
• Implementation of group security policy, enforcement of standards, controls, processes and regulatory determined procedures for Physical Security and Safety
• Develop and maintain Business Continuity, Risk, and Compliance Management & Regulatory Controls for Business Requirements regarding Security and Safety
• Ensure Security Programs/Initiatives during the business cycle are implemented.
Forensic Services:
• Putting in place effective measures for fraud prevention, detection, and response
• Ensure that fraud risk assessments are carried out and value adding recommendations made to address areas of vulnerability to fraud
• Managing investigations through to completion including preparation of documents for court attendance where relevant and attending court as an expert witness where necessary
• Increase awareness of fraud throughout the Bank and organizing training to improve the effectiveness of fraud management
• Putting in place effective methodology for fraud management activities and procuring the requisite tools
• Providing liaison with law enforcement agencies and other fraud experts and attending industry forums
• Liaise with External Parties notably Insurance Companies to support insurance claim recovery (policy redemption) by the bank
Others:
• Managing the performance of staff supervised, defining performance indicators, assigning tasks, and defining goals and objectives for the staff, developing the skill base of the staff assigned, motivating, disciplining and recommending reward for staff
• Preparation of fraud management plans and budgets
• Developing strategic frameworks, policies and procedures
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports on investigations and security matters undertaken for the bank.
The Person:
The successful applicant should have the following minimum qualifications and experience:
• A university degree in from a recognized institution.
• Holder of professional Certification (CFE, CISA or Any related certification).
• Master’s Degree is an added advantage
• 5 years experience in Security Management in banking or Corporate
• 3 years’ experience in Investigations in banking and corporate organisation
• 5 years’ experience in Fraud Risk Management
• 3 years’ experience in Risk Management and Information Security
• Experience in handling criminal matters
• General Banking Operations
• Experience in the implementation of a wide range of process improvement activities.
• Must display superior verbal written and presentation skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
• Demonstrated creativity and analytical ability
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group.
