Job title: Primary Teachers for English Bridging Curriculum
Reports to: Primary Head Teacher
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Intuitively prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in line with approved curriculum on termly, weekly and daily basis.
• Conduct lessons and remedial work according to the set timetable.
• Must have knowledge in local and refugee languages.
• Actively conduct continuous assessment and evaluation of learners.
• Keep and maintain class records/inventory (Registers, records of work, progress reports and equipment.)
• Ensure safety of learners in school during class and co-curricular activities.
• Guide and counsel learners.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the relevant authority from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should possess a Minimum of a Grade III Teachers’ Certificate from a recognizer institution/University.
• Possession of a Diploma in Primary Education is an added advantage.
• Must be duly registered with the Ministry of Education, Sports, Science and Technology.
• Letter of recommendation detailing good conduct (no criminal activity including protection violations) from former employer or LC authority or RWC
• Should be ready to work with minimum supervision and meet the daily task timelines of submitting assignments.
• Should be able to work in a hard to reach and multicultural environment.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience preferred

• Ensure safety of learners during class and co-curricular activities.

• Perform any other duty as assigned by the relevant authority from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The applicant should have completed S.4 and/or S.6 or equivalent and passed Mathematics and English at O level.
• Applicant must be a REFUGEE living in Rhino Camp refugee settlement and should possess a proof of verification.
• Letter of recommendation detailing good conduct from refugee welfare council (RWC) is a must for refugee applicants
• He/ She must not be undergoing any resettlement proc

JOB DESCRIPTION
The overall purpose of the job.
Provision of quality education
To lend out and receive back textbooks and novels in the school library to and from teachers and students and maintain an accurate inventory of books and other school library materials.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
• Carry out general organization and administration of the school library and all the activities that take place therein.
• Lend out textbooks/ novels to students and teachers in the school, plus other persons as may be approved by the Deputy head teacher.
• Supervise the general cleaning of the library by students and other school support staff.
Record keeping and management
• Classify and provide access to all the books in the library following a given index for better identification purposes.
• Keep an accurate inventory of the number of books in the library and update the Deputy head teacher.
Communication
• Report any loss or damage of books in the school library immediately it is discovered to the deputy head teacher for quick remedial action.
• Prepare and submit relevant periodical reports to the head teacher about all the activities taking place in the library.
Complying with safety measures
• Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
• Other Duties. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Deputy Head teacher/ Management from time to time
Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
Education:
Education: A Diploma in librarianship, record keeping, or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
Experience, Skills, and Competences:
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience as a librarian in a busy environment. In-depth knowledge in bookkeeping and record management, good computer skills especially with Microsoft office packages, and good communication, and interpersonal skills
