JOB DETAILS:
ACTIVITIES
The position holder is responsible for:
• Support the Industrial Area Superintendent South on site ensuring that the Contractor is fully conversant with all Company and Project Electrical and Instrumentation related standards and procedures.
• Support Industrial Area Superintendent overseeing Electrical and instrumentation discipline works performed by Contractors/Sub-contractors with reference to Quality Assurance and Control including contractor’s and sub-contractor’s conformity to Detailed Engineering design and specifications.
• Review the ICAPS status index related to his discipline in collaboration with his construction team and commissioning team including ICAPS coordinator.
• Verify the check and test sheet are properly populated into ICAPS, perform gap analysis between MDR mechanical completion system and the Company’s mechanical completion system ICAPS to highlight any deviation to the GS EP EXP 101,103 and 105 as per contract.
• According to the sub-system delivery skyline, you ensure adequate execution to meet mechanical completion objectives in order to avoid any delay or impact on the Ready for commissioning skyline.
• Highlight to Industrial Area superintendent any potential inconsistencies between pre-commissioning and commissioning sequences.
• Support Industrial Area Superintendent South overseeing Contractors/Sub-contractors performing installation, testing and calibration of a newly deployed electrical and Instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Witness and participate in Vendor site activities as required.
• Monitoring of preservation activities in his discipline, and report to management if there is deficiency from CTR for preservation activities.
• Monitor that CTR/Sub-CTR employees adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, Procedures and Site Instructions at site.
• Review and approve of “As Build” & “As Installed” drawings and all changes created within construction activities in line with approved procedures.
• Check the engineering documents, in his discipline, prepared by the contractor and to give timely comments on and/or approval of, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews as required.
• Ensure that all risks are well anticipated and reduced as much as possible by the contractor.
• Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress.
• Identify & analyze the weak points which penalize the productivity and propose corrective actions.
• Advice the IA Superintendent on all issues related to sequencing and scheduling of work fronts.
• Assist in the resolution of all Technical Queries.
• Maintain good relationship with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
• Liaise with Other disciplines as it might be required to improve effectiveness of Team and to achieve project objectives and targets.
• Keep the IA Superintendent informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.
• Ensure that electrical and Instrumentation works and punch lists are properly detected and integrated within the mechanical completion master punch list.
• Compliance with the HSE instructions, rules and procedures in force for compliance with the HSE contractual clauses and other documents governing ties with the contractors.
• Ensure that the safety of all personnel assigned, applicable permits/LOTO and control measures are in place prior to start activities.
• Assist the COMPANY Team to ensure Compliance with projects Safety objectives throughout the life of the project.
• Ensure the protection of the environment and the monitoring of Project environmental performances.
• Participate in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings as required.
• Prepare the daily, weekly report in his discipline.
• Prepare the final documentation in his discipline.
• Organize efficient communication with his back-to-back replacement.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualification:
• HNC or equivalent in related discipline
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry with Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline with a good knowledge of ASME and other international codes and standards with a significant awareness of other disciplines and their interaction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in E&I Pre-commissioning activities.
• General awareness of the Company’s General Specifications and/or previous experience with other major IOC’s/Contractors in oil and gas construction projects.
• Ideal candidate shall be fully conversant with applicable Oil and Gas Industry International Codes, Standards as well as best Industry Practices.
• Valid authorized person / HV voltage preferred.
• Valid Compex training is a plus.
• A good awareness of other disciplines. Significant responsibility in multi-discipline teams or projects.
