Kabale Regional Referral Hospital has received a grant from EGPAF under the USAID RHITES-SW project to support implementation on of Integrated Health Services, including quality maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development services at the hospital. It is for this reason that Kabale Referral Hospital seeks to recruit qualified candidates for the following positions located at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital to help achieve the mandate of the grant. Employment shall be on contract for a period of one year renewable depending on performance and availability of resources. Successful candidates will be based at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital

Salary Scale: U5sc
Reports to: Senior Dispenser
Qualifications: Must have a diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized institution Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
Duties and responsibilities:
• Preparing quality medicines
• Dispensing medicines according to prescriptions
• Managing and accounting for allocated resources
• Advising clinicians and other health professionals on prescriptions
• Advising patients and attendants on proper use of storage of Medicines
• Carrying out regular equipment servicing and ensure they are functional
• Entering into the registry all medicines given to patients
• Participating in research activities
• Imparting knowledge and skills to students and staff
• Adhering to professional code of conduct and ethics
• Compiling and submitting periodic reports
