We are owned by the Norwegian YWCA-YMCA and the YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway, and work in partnership with our sister organizations in the World Alliance of YMCAs and World YWCA. The main target group for YGlobal's woih in Uganda are children, youth and young adults aged 18-35 years. We consideryoung people core to global development and ourwork strengthens the voice of young people, both men and women, so that they can inlluence unjust policies and contribute to democmtisation ot power structures. YGlobal works on four main thematic areas: Just Peace, Gender Equality, Reduced inequalities, and Climate Action. The topics are chosen because they are important to our target group, have a distinct rights-based focus, and are inionned by the thematic priorities of the World YWCA and the World Alliance of YMCAS. YGlobal has since September 2016 implemented a UNSCR 1325 project in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement. Stromme Foundation (SF) is an imponant pamier in implementation of the project,

Reporting to: Program Advisor in Osio Office
Duty Station: Kiryandogo with regular travel to Kampala
Position Scope:
The Administration and Finance Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient management ofthe budget and assets. He/she will ensure the transparent organization of procurement of goods and services in order to support project officers in administrative and financial management. He/she must secure and presenre organization assets, equipment, and programs through the application of policies and procedures. The work will be done in close collaboration with Stromme Foundatioan and YGlobal's headquarters in Oslo. The position will be based at YGlobai‘s office in Kiryandongo, Uganda with frequent travels to Kampala. Below is a list of key roles and responsibilities entailing this position, although other duties might be added when so desired by the YGiobal Management in Norway..
Key Roles:
Administration and Logistics
• Preparation of purchase orders for goods and sen/ices Prepare limited consultation files and bidding documents
• Coordinate bid evaluation. Ensure that contractual documents relating to acquisitions and contracts are available and well archived.
• Assist in the planning and preparation of the missions of irom YGiobal headquarters (local, transportation, accommodation. etc)
• Assist in the planning, implementation and follow-up of practical aspects related to W0tkShDps and trainings organized by YGlobal (room rental, invitations and registration of participants, coordination of meals, etc.)
Finance and Accounting
• Prepare financial reports on the operation of the country office for the preparation of consolidated financial reports.
• Prepare and submit to SF quality financial management reports (monthly, quarterly and annual).
• Ensure timely liquidation of advances
• Prepare and provide cash management to ensure the availability of funds for operations.
• Assist in budget monitoring and regular dispatch of administrative and financial documents to SF for the provision of regional office accounts.
• Assist in the annual budget of the YGlobal country office
• Manage financial transactions to meet objectives and requirements for financial expenses and reporting
• implement internal financial controls & payment processes to achieve value for money at all times.
• Ensure proper documentation of all transactions, cross referencing, recording and filing.
Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate studies in finance, accounting, commerce.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in similar position. Proficiency in common computer packages Led, word, PowerPoint, excel Experience of working with Refugees is an advantage
• Experience of working with Gender related issues is an added advantage Excellent written and verbal communication in English
