Kabale Regional Referral Hospital has received a grant from EGPAF under the USAID RHITES-SW project to support implementation on of Integrated Health Services, including quality maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, malaria and child development services at the hospital. It is for this reason that Kabale Referral Hospital seeks to recruit qualified candidates for the following positions located at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital to help achieve the mandate of the grant. Employment shall be on contract for a period of one year renewable depending on performance and availability of resources. Successful candidates will be based at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital
Nursing Officer (Nursing) (1)
Salary Scale : U5sc
Reports to: Senior Nursing Officer
Qualifications:
Must be trained at Registered level or its equivalent from a recognized institution Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council
Duties and responsibilities:
• Receiving, registering and admitting patients, discharges and death.
• Manage patient appointments, counseling patient
• Providing Nursing Care services to patients.
• Keeping patients comfortable and ensuring a healthy environment.
• Preparing and carrying out sterile procedures.
• Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team.
• Enrolling, linking and follow up of clients
• Participates in Doctors/Clinical Officers Ward rounds.
• Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
• Participating in research activities.
• Imparting knowledge and skills to students and staff.
• Adhering to professional code of conduct and ethics.
• Compiling daily reports and hand over to in-coming shift.
