Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Development Studies or a related Bachelor’s Degree qualification plus a Masters Degree in Human Rights; or Social Sector Planning and Management; or Public Administration and Management; or Development Studies or a Masters Degree in any of the above or related field from a recognized University/ Institution

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant working experience, (3) of which should have been served at Senior Youth Officer level or Senior Officer level in the Social Development or Community Development discipline in Government or equivalent level of experience from reputable organization

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Youth Affairs for performing the following duties:-
1. Planning and implementing youth skills development programmes;
2. Planning and implementing youth livelihoods programmes;
3. Planning and implementing youth HIV/AIDS and sexual reproductive and rights
4. programmes at the Ministry;
5. Supervising the youth regional skills training centres and their Programmes;
6. Managing training for the youth function in Local Governments;
7. Coordinating and monitoring youth activities in other sectors and institutions;
8. Developing and maintaining a database on youth organizations;
9. Coordinating the Economic Commission for Africa and Common Wealth
10. youth programmes;
11. Planning, coordinating and supervising the Commonwealth Youth Distance
12. Learning Programs;
13. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
