Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Support:
- Manage the Managing Director’s calendar, prioritize appointments, and coordinate high-level meetings (internal and external).
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for board meetings, strategy sessions, and cross-departmental reviews.
- Draft and proofread business correspondence, reports, and presentations in English.
- Business Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the Managing Director and teams across CHINT Electric (electrical/lighting) and Oppein Home (cabinetry/furniture) divisions.
- Track progress of key projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and operational reports to provide actionable insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Organize logistics for client visits, supplier negotiations, and partnership meetings.
- Support the Managing Director in government relations, compliance matters, and local regulatory requirements.
- Confidentiality & Efficiency:
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Streamline administrative processes to enhance executive productivity.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in electrical, construction, furniture, or retail sectors.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in known & medium-large sized company.
- Familiarity with multinational corporate environments; experience in African markets (especially Uganda/East Africa) is a strong advantage.
- Skills:
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in Chinese (to liaise with CHINT/Oppein HQ) or local languages (e.g., Luganda, Swahili) is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attributes:

- Valid work permit for Uganda (or willingness to relocate; visa support available).
