Position Summary
The Finance Manager will lead WWF Uganda's financial planning and operations, ensuring accountability, compliance, and efficient resource management. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and donor contract monitoring. As a Country Leadership Team (CLT) member, they will guide strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial sustainability planning and proposal budgeting.
- Manage budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with donor, organizational, and statutory financial policies.
- Oversee audits and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Develop data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Supervise the finance team and strengthen their capacity.
- Promote risk mitigation and financial process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
- Full accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
- MBA or related Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance with at least 5 in leadership, ideally in international organizations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems, ERP tools, and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.
- Must align with WWF’s values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
