Job Overview
As a Medical Detailer, you will work directly with healthcare professionals to promote and support the distribution of health-related products, with a primary focus on women’s reproductive health. This role requires a proactive and well-organized individual skilled in
building and maintaining professional relationships, delivering effective training, and facilitating the integration of health innovations into routine service delivery. In addition to the pharmaceutical sector, the role may also involve engagement with non-pharmaceutical
industries where health-focused products and services are essential.

Key Responsibilities
▪ Develop and implement monthly work plans and budgets for detailing activities and service delivery.
▪ Establish and manage a network of private sector partners to support the implementation of the Baby Checker project.
▪ Provide ongoing mentorship and training to healthcare providers, partners, and relevant institutions on the Baby Checker and other Viya health offerings.
▪ Monitor antenatal care (ANC) service delivery and the use of Baby Checker scans, collecting data and insights to inform continuous improvement.
▪ Strengthen and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and implementation partners to drive demand for Viya products and services.
▪ Oversee and support partner facilities and authorized outlets to ensure alignment with Viya’s standards and promote brand loyalty.
▪ Document and share best practices and learnings from field activities to inform program
refinement and scale-up.

What We’re Looking For
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences (Midwifery, Nursing, or Clinical Medicine). Additional training in Marketing or Sales is an added advantage.
▪ At least one year of experience in pharmaceutical distribution or the health products sector, preferably with a focus on reproductive health.
▪ Demonstrated sales experience and ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies, community-based organizations, and NGOs.
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
▪ Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
▪ Fluency in English and at least one local language.
▪ Willingness to travel frequently within Uganda.
▪ Valid driving license.
