JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
Business Development Executive will report to the Head of Business Development & Marketing or designate (Team Leader) and shall be responsible for solution selling, identifying new business opportunities, closing sales and increasing business portfolio and pipeline while building customer relationship to achieve commercial value and company goals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development Executive Roles
• Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets by ensuring sales conversions on leads assigned are achieved.
• 100% retention of existing customers assigned on annual basis
• Expand individual pipeline assigned by looking for new business opportunities and demonstrate having on boarded new customers annually.
• Retention of new customers through to the following year and ensure customer visits are done as required
• Sales administration: Use of CRM when tracking sales activities and closed sales
• Follow through on technical issues raised by clients assigned to ensure faster resolution by technical team to maintain customer satisfaction
• Ensure that SLA’s agreed upon are delivered timely by the technical teams
• Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential clients to generate new business in liaison with Business Development managers
• Explore sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers, provide technical information while building lasting relationships with customers
• Establish and maintain contacts with regulators and umbrella bodies
• Develop intelligence on the market Landscape and dynamics
• Strategic engagements with customers at C- Level
• Customer relationship activities i.e. proactive customer engagements
• Tenders and proposals submissions and organize for meeting and demos
• Response to tenders, RFQ, RFIs and general inquiries
• To manage relationship with the existing customers

• The report on the pipeline will be reviewed on a weekly basis. The target pipeline should be generated from the engagements in across different territories.

• Target to cross/upsell to each existing customer in our database at least once every year

Relationship Management (existing customer engagement) Customer/

• Each customer must be visited/Engaged at least once per quarter

Marketing Activities Continuous
• Must engage in marketing campaigns, product activations as shall be assigned by the team leader and Marketing unit.
• Carry out marketing intelligence on all the opportunities and adopt a pro-active approach in lead generation.

Using Dynamics 365 CRM as our primary reporting tool Continuously
• All activities including customer visits, call reports pipeline, closed sales etc must be updated in CRM.

Territory/Product Management Continuous
• Management and reporting of all sales activities in Kenya and any other related activity as shall be assigned by your supervisor

Annual Maintenance Contract and License Renewals All Accounts To proactively engage your accounts and ensure all contracts are in force and annuity income is realized on time.
• The KPIs will be reviewed on a quarterly basis
• You are expected to continuously engage your team leaders and other line managers for support and guidance in meeting the above targets.

• Abilities to collaborate effectively with top management and functional heads

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Business administration/ Sales/Marketing, Information Technology or related fields.
• Strong business acumen and experience in b2b sales presentation
• Strong Customer / Service orientation and technical know-how.
• Experience in understanding Service level agreement
• At least 1- 3 years’ experience in sales with relevant sales competencies.
• Experience in software sales is an added advantage
• Presentation and reporting skills
• Negotiation and customer facing skills
• Interpersonal skills (power of persuasion, conviction and well-argued reasoning, proven to maintain & build up relationships and networks with relevant decision makers and stakeholders)
